Maureen Laflin's authoritarian streak

Maureen Laflin is the Moscow city councilor who said that she didn't think that places of worship belonged downtown (even though the city of Moscow's logo is the Methodist church, which is located downtown).

When discussing when to reopen post-quarantine, she "said she was concerned that after businesses reopen, they might refuse to close again if, for example, there is a spike in cases after reopening." [1]

Moscow City Council remains the most colorful (if not the most intelligent) elected body in the Palouse area.
