Suffice to say I don't like Multi-level marketing, I think it's pernicious and greasy.
Underdeveloped feminist theory about MLM (Multi-level marketing). I was pitched selling MLM financial services in college, and it was clear that the pitch to dudes was based on laziness - MLM was a shortcut to wealth. Work really hard, and then you won't have to work because other people (your "downline") will be making money for you.
MLM pitched to women seems to be a foundationally different angle, and my theory is that women would like meaningful work as much as guys, and they are denied it by society, so they're willing to work in sub-optimal conditions just because of the promise of meaningful work / bettering their lives.
